Saving Money During a Disney Vacation

Former meat cutter Ciro Diaco relies on his more than 30 years of experience in the industry to lead CTV Wholesale Meats as president. In this capacity, he oversees the custom cuts and distribution of high-quality meat to butcher shops, hotels, and restaurants in the New York area. A fan of travel, Ciro Diaco enjoys taking his grandchildren to Disney attractions in Florida and California. Most Disney fans know how expensive a trip to a Disney park can be, but there are plenty of ways to save money. Below are just some of the ways to save during a Disney vacation:

- Keep receipts: depending on which Disney park you attend, you may find that your receipts include same-day discounts at certain retailers. These discounts are often for restaurants in the park, as well as souvenir shops.

- Buy multi-day passes: multi-day passes can save you up to $41 a day, depending on how long you plan on visiting. The only drawback is that the largest discounts are offered for the longest admissions, so be careful not to extend a trip just for the sake of saving a few dollars.

- Stay at Disney hotels: although you can save some money getting a cheaper hotel away from the parks, Disney hotels often offer package deals with park tickets and offer transportation options to and from the hotel and airport. This is an easy way to not only save money on parking once at the theme park, but such deals may keep you from having to rent a car at all.

- Check memberships: even though Disney does not offer huge discounts for tickets, you may be able to find some discounts based on your membership to other groups and organizations. Military members, AAA users, and AARP members may all be eligible for discounted tickets.
